ウエザーニュースの計測値はそんなに高くないのに茹だる暑さでうちの猫も不機嫌にだらけています。

ところで６月の３日にアメリカのプリンストン大学が村上春樹氏に文学博士号の名誉学位を授与したというニュースをWEB上で見て、これはもしかしたらあんな恰好なんかしたりするのかしらんププッ、などと不謹慎な想像をしていたのですが、ついつい見つけてしまいました。
プリンストン大学のホームページに同じく名誉学位を授与されたクインシージョーンズたちと並んであの裁判官が着る法服のようなものを着ています。さすがに角帽はかぶっていませんがなんだかおかしいです。すいません。
翌日の新聞やTVなどでは全然話題になってなかったのであいかわらずの日本国内の無視っぷりに安心（？）しながらも、ますます遠くに行ってしまうようでちょっと哀しいような妙な心持ちであります。まあめでたいからいいのですけれど。
それよりもはやいとこ新作の大長編を書きあげて欲しいのであります。
「ティファニーで朝食を」はまだ読み終えられず「ペットサウンズ」にいたってはあとがきをよんだっきりで・・・ふんがっふっふん。
